See my profile, I am a CJ guy, trying to give you a fast answer, so that you might get a fast fix!

I do not know your rig well, but do understand problems that might be common to all vehicles.

You might at 1st think this oil came from your intake or carb or throttle body. This is "Usually" pretty much impossible.

Your oil is more than likely coming from the "fresh air intake hose or pipe", which replinishes the air (in your engine) that your "Positive Crankcase Ventilation" (PCV valve or system) SUCKS OUT!

The PCV removes all of the BAD GASES that your engine produces, which wind up in the openings or air spaces within your engine (that might corrode or harm the internals). And. It also takes out some "BLOW-BY".

On a 4 stroke engine (what 99% of street vehicles have, yours included) When your pistons move up and down there are 4 cycles : intake, COMPRESSION, POWER and exaust.

Your pistons have "RINGS" around them to seal off the combustion chambers so that all of the explosions can be contained in the chambers. Blow-by occurs in the COMPRESSION and POWER STROKES. Rings cannot perfectly seal any engine---compressing mixtures, exaust gasses, and PRESSURE do, slip by them (normal) The PCV can keep-up with the "EXTRA AIR"(or pressure) being pushed into the crankcase, by the NORMAL "leaking" rings.

These gases travel in a hose to your carb or intake to be "reburned" by your engine, they are SUCKED there because--when each of your pistons, is on INTAKE STROKE it is sucking in, fuel and airat a fast rate, in an engine it is called "VACUUM" (on some rigs, you hear the Hard Sucking sound around the carb)

NOW THAT I HOPE I GAVE YOU AN UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT ITS SUPPOSED TO DO, THIS IS WHAT MIGHT BE HAPPENING WITH YOURS.

POSSIBILY 1)

Your PCV---or--- vacuum hose to the PCV may be /NOT WORKING (replace)/ Broke/ Disconnected/ Routed somewhere else by *$#&%$#@*Incompetent DUDE/ Holes/ stoppage in system somewhere.

It cannot suck out gasses or pressure build-up

PRESSURE pushes Gasses/Gasses and crankcase oil.(START HERE, when I tell you to)

It gets pushed somewhere

BACKWARDS up the "fresh air line" to engine

BACKWARDS into fresh air,

fresh air,

fresh air,

BACKWARDS INTO THE SOURCE OF FRESH AIR

Then into

AIR CLEANER

POSSIBILITY 2

Your engine may be old, Really worn, smoking oil out of exaust, other possibilities, and may have WORN OUT or BROKEN RINGS---waaaay more Blow-by is coming from the combustion chambers than the PCV can keep up with.

REFER BACK TO---"START HERE"----10 paragraphs back. For your ending.

If your rig is running really bad, a tune up might help.

Substitute 1qt. Of "Marvel Mystery Oil", for 1qt. Of oil during your next oil change(s)

May clean/ loosen crap in/ on your rings to help them seal, helps other stuff, too, read label. Can get it at most popular car parts stores.

This is about all I got for you, keep repling, maybe can assist more.

REPLY ANYWAY--Give me your results, I spent awhle hunting and pecking this out.I am a member like you. Get few replies. Nobody Pays ME here! Its a hobby!
