I recentely noticed the steering column has started to wobble and the tilt function is not aligned properly.

THis is a common problem. Actually, there are 4 bolts in the column that come loose. It can become dangerous. Also, it is a difficult job to complete. I recommend taking it to a qualified mechanic.
