1986 Jeep Cherokee Oil guage on dash reads low

The oil guage on my dash continues to go up and down and beep and tries to tell me it has no oil in the engine. However, according to the oil stick, oil is at the safe line. I think I need to replace the oil pressure sensor switch sender. However, I don't know where it is located. Can you tell me, please.
