I just had my thermostat and water pump replaced after my Jeep overheated in traffic on the highway. My AC has a leak so I was trying to recharge it, while idoling it overheated again and sounds like it is going to die on me. I thought maybe it was just because I was trying to recharge the freeon (sp?) but I let it idol without charging and it still overheats. Any ideas??? What should I look for? Could it something other than the thermostat and water pump???

Are the cooling fans on? If not replace the temp sensor, as soon as the a/c is turned on one of the 2 fans should start up, the other comes on as needed to cool the engine. If the temp sensor works!
