My car won't start in PARK and I can't remove the key. It will however start in NEUTRAL and I can lock the car using another key with the key in the ignition. Is this the neutral safety switch malfunctioning and, if so, is it just a matter of time before I can't start in NEUTRAL either?
I've spent a fortune on this baby so I'm looking for an inexpensive but safe solution. THANKS!!

that is definitely symptoms of a failing park/neutral position (PNP) switch. only solution would be to replace the switch.
