2000 Jaguar XJS Blown Fuse #6

For starting vehicle 35 amp draw on this fuse (7.5A) problems occured after melted wires for overhead lamp found due to incorrect plugging in of assembly for convertible top done by other tech incorrectly Short circuit obviously destroyed some component (body module?) that now prevents starting without temporarily installing a bus across fuse #6 What component does this fuse control??
