1993 Jaguar XJS Trunk operation

Electrical problem
1993 Jaguar XJS 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 72k miles

My trunk will not unlock with the keyless entrance system. And my key wont work either. I think the lock is jamed so my key will not work. Any ideas how to gain access. I can't go through the back seat because the gas tank is located behind the back seat???

I assume doors operate with remote. Jaguar does not share its info and there is not much to go on.
If the key won't work think the only choice is get a locksmith to get it open repair. Then we might be able to see about remote acess. Sorry could not be of more help.
