I go thru 2 coils a year. Seems when I do a lot of stop and start around town driving and it get's extremly hot under the hood a coil fails?
Is heat causing the failue? And if so, can they be relocated to the trunk?
Thanks

Things I would suggest is to use an OEM coil, not aftermarket.

Make sure the wires, plugs cap and rotor are good. Weak components can cause a failure to the coil.

Also check wiring in the loom that goes to the coil.
