My 89 xjs v12 is dying out on me if I restart it after a 30 min trip. If I don't restart, it's fine. It is also fine if I restart after a long trip. It only happens after a short trip restart. I get low idle and low oil pressure and then dying out, I have to drive with two feet to keep it going. my dash brake light has begun to come on now when I step on the brakes, I don't know if I over heated something or what? Any ideas for either of the issues?

Hello, it sounds like you have two different problems, first when the car dies, does the engine lose fuel pressure or ignition spark? We must isolate the problem system before troubleshooting. Please reference these pages.

For the brake light problem please check the brake fluid level, if low inspect immediately. If the fluid level is ok it sounds like you have a master cylinder problem, inspect immediately.
