2002 Jaguar XJR Engine Off

2002 Jaguar XJR Supercharged (61200 Miles)
When I turn the engine off, the battery goes completely down. The Mileage on the gauges doesn't appear anymore, the courtesy lights are all off, the remote key can't even lock the doors or the boot.
I can only hear a "click" coming out repeatetly from the dashboard below the glove compartment.....this usually happens for a few minutes, then everything seems to work just fine (the day after the engine start up regularly).
Could you please tell me what is wrong?

check all battery connections and ground points are good
