how do you change valve cover gaskets on a 2001 Jaguar XJR

I have removed all of the screws but I believe do to heat and so forth that the valve cover needs some encouragement to be removed. Before I force anything can you please advise?

give it a few slight taps it will come free .. make sure all bolts are removed !!
