My wife's car from time to time will turn over but refuses to start. Several different mechanics had tried to find and fix the problem, most recently reprogramming the computer, but to no avail. Every once in a while, the car just won't start. It's not the battery -- the lights come on and the car tries to start, but won't. The last time, after several days of testing proved fruitless, the car simply started again. Any clues?

I have seen crank angle sensors do things like that.If the PCM cant see the engine turning there is no injector pulse or spark.
