When you start the car in the morning, (or after sitting) when the car drops to idle, there is a very pronounced knocking noise that goes away (or is less) after warming up or driving. Seem to be worse when it's cold.
Now the check engine light has just come on with a restricted performance initially (then goes off) then after a few starts the check engine light goes off. This has happened 3 times.

Any ideas???
