Engine Performance problem
1998 Jaguar XJR V8 Automatic 68000 miles

I am trying to check the operation of my fuel pumps, I have them out of the car, and I have conected them to a 12v source but they do not work. shouldn't they work when hooked up directly to 12v.

Its fried/toasted even if you wire it wrong it should come on
