Removal (Brembo) 1. Remove rear disc brake pads. See REAR DISC BRAKE PADS . 2. Remove caliper mounting bolts and remove caliper from hub carrier. See Fig. 31 . Set aside and support caliper. 3. Remove the plug from the parking brake adjustment access hole and align access hole with parking brake adjuster. Using a flat-bladed screwdriver, slacken the parking brake adjuster by rotating clockwise to allow for the removal of the brake disc. See Fig. 5 . 4. Remove brake disc from hub. 5. Clean brake dust from calipers and parking brake shoes area. Thoroughly clean hub area where the brake disc makes contact. Clean and inspect all other associated parts. CAUTION: The Brembo caliper is aligned to the brake disc when it is first installed to the vehicle, therefore, care must be taken not to disturb this alignment. When removing the caliper, remove the bolts that secure the anchor bracket to the vertical link only. DO NOT loosen any other caliper bolts. Remove any brake fluid spillage immediately from paint, with clean water.
