Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Jaguar XJ6 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 57k miles

my manual says strictly only use snap on filter remover.Don't use normal band type. Is this the ultimate in precaution or would normal band/chain type be ok? As thats all I have got! Thanks. Geoff

you can use the band/chain tool on the old metal oil filters ...still being careful !! never use these tools on the new plastic casing type filter !!
