Transmission problem
1997 Jaguar XJ6 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 102k miles
I am able to start the car and then it immediately dies.
After sitting for a while:
The car will start and run with no propblem. After driving 20+ miles the rpm will drop down to 5000 when at a stop or the engine will die completely.
I can restart the car and it will die immediately. The car will continue to run if the gas pedal is pressed.
I have heard suggestions of fuel pump, timing and map sensor and transmission problems.
Can anyone provide some insight who has a bit more experience?
