What is the procedure for replacing the rear shocks?

Assuming you don't have hydraulic self leveling system.
Lift the rear of the vehicle and stand SECURELY by the frame so the wheels are off the ground. Remove tires. Support the brake assembly with a floor jack or something similar to take the tension off the strut/spring assm. The top of the strut is held up by 3 bolts through a flange. remove the 3 bolts being sure you have the rotor assm. supported or it will drop down on you. Remove the single bolt and nut holding the bottom of the strut and lift the strut out. YOU MUST HAVE A SPRING COMPRESSOR TO COMPRESS THE SPRING TAKING THE TENSION OFF BEFORE YOU TAKE OFF THE TOP NUT. If you don't you could get hurt reeeeealy bad and you may find your spring somewhere in the neighbor's yard. Installation is the reverse. Again, I can't stress care enough. Hope this helps.
