1994 Jaguar XJ6 door locks

Electrical problem
1994 Jaguar XJ6 6 cyl Automatic 121000 miles

We replaced the outer door handle with a used one. Put the original chip on, along with the pieces needed to make contact, then connected the wiring and put the key in the lock to test it. The locks just go up and down constantly! Any ideas?

You'll need to check the switches on the replacement latch to be sure they are opening and closing when the should.
