1993 Jaguar XJ6 a/c blows but only hot

Air Conditioning problem
1993 Jaguar XJ6 6 cyl

The heater works great, but the a/c blows only hot air. I had the car looked at and he stated it’s the electrical. Is this true, and how can I fix it myself.
