I have a leaking power steering pump, it looks as if the seal has gone on the front, the pump still works fine. will I have to replace the whole pump or will replacing the seal be adequate?

Usually if the seal is leaking the shaft is also worn and a new seal probably won't last very long. You will be money ahead to replace the pump.
