Hey, I own a 1991 Van den plas xj6 and the sterring rack boot on the drivers side has started to leak hydrolic oil. Does this mean that the seals on my sterring rack are bad, or can I just have a crack in the boot? Are the boots supposed to be full of oil?

Hey not,
Yup, the seals are pretty much done if the boot is full of oil. A little weepage is ok, but any more means a rack replacement.
