Engine Performance problem
1991 Jaguar XJ6 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic n/a miles

good evening, I am working on the above mentioned automobile. The engine dies when put in drive, or reverse, note this is a new motor that had about 30,000 miles on it. Airflow meter, tps, and hoses, have been changed. Is there any thing that I could have over look.

Is the check engine light showing. Are there any fault codes?

The CHECK ENGINE light is located on the odometer/Vehicle Condition Monitor (VCM)/trip computer display panel. When an engine management fault has been detected, the CHECK ENGINE light will illuminate.
