my friend is tearing apart an engine for an xj6. 15 of the cylinder head studs came out fine, but the lower threads of one broke off in the lower head. so, where can he go from here? would it be best to weld a stud to the broken part, and try to turn it out? would it be best to to try to drill it out? is there a repair kit for such a situation? another option is to just put a stainless stud in the upper part only, and forget about the lower stud? any advise would be appreciated. thanks
