1986 Jaguar XJ6 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
Roof has always leaked since I've had it. Replaced gasket,
only to find lifter blocks were dry rotted. Replaced blocks,
now roof will not open and close properly. Seems that
roof and connecting cable are not connecting. Sun roof
slid fine until adjustments were made. Can you help?
Thank you.

If the new blocks caused the problem, see why they are stopping it. The may need to be fine tuned to fit into a slide or something of that nature. If all rubber is new, the fit will be tight, but it should work if all is adjusted properly
