Engine Cooling problem
1985 Jaguar XJ6 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100k miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My 1985 jag XJ6 runs hot in traffic. I live near Las Vegas and can't go there in the summer. The coolant looks clean and I have flushed the system. I fill the over-flow tank and it always pukes out water. I have tried 160, 180 and 190 thermostats. no difference.
I have been told that all these types can't take the desert heat. everything else runs well...oil pressure, AC, and all else.
