1985 Jaguar XJ6 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 196000 miles

I have a scent of fuel in my oil, and am getting my head gasket fixed tommorrow, I know that is the problem yet what is the fuel smell?

Hi Albert, as for the fuel smell, some of your fuel hoses are in the trunk. Pull back the carpet and lift up the wood, to gain access to the fuel hoses. check for cracks ore loose clamps. also check the fuel hoses in the engine compartment on the passenger side also for loose clamps or cracked hoses. Get back to me with your findings.
