Hello,

The battery light typically comes on when the alternator is unable to charger the battery sufficiently while the engine is running.
This can be due to a bad alternator, it can also be due to a wiring issue, like a loose connector or corroded terminal.
First inspect the battery terminal as well as alternator connector and cable to make sure that they are secured and free of any corrosion.

The alternator should produce 13.6V to 15.2V to the battery.
