Have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer to locate the cause of the fault

DIAGNOSTICS
Air bag system diagnostic information is not available. Visually inspect for obvious signs of electrical damage. Check connectors, harnesses, air bag modules, restraints control module, fuses, sensors, pretensioners and air bag warning light bulbs. If an obvious cause is found, correct (if possible). Perform SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . If cause is not visually evident, verify symptom and refer to the Jaguar Approved Diagnostic System.

SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
Turn ignition switch to ON position and observe AIR BAG warning light. AIR BAG warning light should illuminate for 5 seconds, then turn off. If AIR BAG warning light fails to illuminate or illuminates continuously, malfunction exists. See DIAGNOSTICS .
