2004 Jaguar X-Type Replace Headlamp bulb

I am attempting to change the headlight bulb on my 2004 Jaguar X-Type and can't get the old bulb out of the socket......Any suggestions???? It seems to be glued or soldered into the socket.

There's a wire looking clip (tang) that holds it in. The tops will need to be pushed togethter to release them and then it will hinge downward allowing the bulb to come out.
