2003 Jaguar X-Type Engine stalls above 2750 rpm

Had car in 2 garages now and they don't know why my diesel jag's engine consistantly cuts off when i hit 2750 rpm.

have the car plugged into jaguars diagnostic system .. the PCM (computer) may need a software update !
