1998 Jaguar Vanden Plas heater doesn't work

The heater wasn't working too well last winter but now the heater doesn't work at all. I have heard that Jaguar has a problem with the electronic controls for ther heater in XJ8 cars. What is the usual problem with the heater controls in this car?

The engine heat is OK and the coolant level is OK - just no heat coming out.

replace thermostat .. flush coolant system and check temperature blend door on heater unit is working
