1996 Jaguar Vanden Plas radiator fans

My radiator fans come on when the engine is started and is cold. They will not shut off. I have to disconnect the battery. I have replaced the thermal switch also they stlll run when the connector to the switch is removed.

Thanks for your help. I pulled the fan fuse and replaced the relay ( a $113 part ). The fan kept running after i reinstalled the fuse. I next disconnected the battery to recylce the computer module. The fan kept running. My next course of action was to run the car through a heat cycle. That did the trick! Hope this helps anyone with a similar issue.
