engine surges and runs very rough, when put in gear will hardly pull itself

Hi there,

Was the tank flushed when the pump was done? have you had the injectors cleaned? check for any vacuum leaks, check for any unresolved fault codes in the ECU, check plugs and leads, start here.

Tank was flushed, new plugs and wires.Cpu showed code 2 Mass air flo, cleaned leads, code no longer showing. Whatever happened was instant as car was running perfect.

May be a vacuum leak, have you checked all vacuum lines, can you hear any odd sucking ? air noises?

Vaccum lines appear to be ok, no sucking noises. If you attemp to excellerate fast, you get a backfire.
