ROTARY SWITCH
Rotary switch is located on left side of transmission case. Place shift selector in Neutral position. Raise and support vehicle. Remove rotary switch guard bolts and guard. Loosen switch-to-mounting bracket securing nuts. Remove rubber blanking plug from center of switch. Switch will now rotate to its limits.
Install Switch Adjuster (JD-161) to switch shaft and locating hole in switch body. See Fig. 4 . Lightly tighten retaining nuts, and ensure adjuster can be withdrawn easily using a bar. See Fig. 5 . Readjust switch if adjuster withdrawal is difficult.
When adjustment is correct, tighten retaining nuts. Remove adjuster, and install rubber blanking plug. Install switch guard, and tighten switch guard retainng bolts to specification. Refer to the TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table. Lower vehicle.
