2004 Jaguar S-Type V8 Automatic

So my car makes the starting sound but it wont click over so i can drive it. I asked Advance Auto Parts what the problem could be and they thought it would be a bad starter. Do you think that it is in need of a replacement starter? It is not the battery, I already checked that. If it is the starter, could I change it by myself? If so, how would I go about doing so? Where will I find the starter to change it? Thank you
