2003 Jaguar S-Type CATS SYSTEM FAULT

I was driving my 2003 Jaguar S-type R this eveing in Georgia (temp 80 degrees) and while I was driving (in sports mode) the display came up on my screen CATS SYSTEM FAULT. So I took it hm after driving for approx 40 miles with the light on.

What does this mean? Will this harm the car. I just purchased it. Can u help?

have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer to retrieve the actual fault codes .. the computer will also be able to turn off the warning .. repost with the full codes for more assistance and repair information
