Give it a few taps with a hammer !
Removal (Brembo)
Remove disc brake pads. See FRONT DISC BRAKE PADS.
CAUTION:Only remove the bolts securing the caliper anchor bracket to the hub carrier. DO NOT loosen any other caliper bolts.
Remove front caliper mounting bolts and remove caliper from vertical link. See Fig. 12. Set aside and support caliper.
Remove brake disc from hub.
Clean and inspect all associated parts.
Installation (Brembo)
CAUTION:The front brake discs are directional and must be installed to the correct side of the vehicle. The left disc can be identified by a groove running around the circumference of the outer disc wall. See Fig. 1.
Install brake disc to hub.
Install caliper to vertical link. Fig. 12. Install caliper mounting bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
Install disc brake pads. See FRONT DISC BRAKE PADS.
Removal (Except Brembo)
Remove disc brake pads. See FRONT DISC BRAKE PADS.
Remove the caliper from its mounting and secure aside. See Fig. 7.
Remove brake pads from caliper housing and discard brake pads. See Fig. 8.
Remove the caliper carrier mounting bolts and remove the carrier from the vertical link. See Fig. 17.
Remove brake disc from hub.
Clean and inspect all associated parts.
Installation (Except Brembo)
Install brake disc to hub.
Install caliper carrier to vertical link. See Fig. 17. Install caliper carrier bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
Install disc brake pads. See FRONT DISC BRAKE PADS.
