2000 Jaguar S-Type 6 cyl Automatic

I have a year 2000 Jaguar S-type. It shuts down at idle. Also when am at a stop light, the jerks and eventually shut itself down. Funny enough, it has been taken to jaguar and they cannot seem to fix it. All the spark plugs were changed, oil changed, filter changed. Pls help. What might seem to be the problem. This is the very first time have had a problem with this vehicle. It drives smooth and fast.
