I have a 1998 XK8 coupe w/290 hp V-8. It only has 57,000 miles on it.The other day out of the blue a ticking noise started in the motor. I thought I had just gotten some bad gas. Anyway, it got better then right when I thought it was going to stop with all the shuddering it died in the middle of the street. The ck engine light came on and when I finally got it started again it ran like an old steam locomotive. It wouldn't go more than 20 mph and acted like it was going to explode. It made it home but blew the intake radiator hose off the motor (which i have reattached. Is it the brain? Should I have the computer re-programmed?? HELP!!!
