It is a 428 Cobra Jet. It's a cool car but when I searched for Mercury S55 parts they didn't exist. They made 669 of this model in 1966. So, I thought I'd ask an expert what other cars are compatible with this car, so I can get parts for it. Thank you for all your help.

What an amazing car! Thanks for sharing. They put these engines in all kinds of different cars and applications. Parts will be a bit of a hunt, but you should be able to find what you are looking for. What is it that you need for it?

It's in really good condition considering the age. It runs but has a knock, no smoke and the interior is clean. I'm looking for replacement coil springs, I want to replace the front suspension. It has sloppy steering, lots of play and the interior lights don't work, all the fuses are good, just things like that. I don't know a lot about Mercury, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

These cars are compatible.

Mercury Monterey
Mercury Montclair
Mercury Park Lane
Mercury Marquis
Ford XL

It is basically a full-size body style for that year.
