Hello, I have the car listed above Ex coupe V6. It cranks but won’t start. I checked with machine but no one figures what’s going on and ended up changing lots of parts on it. However, sometimes it does start when it does it’s shakes badly and lots of smoke comes from the tail pipe. So, one of the guys told me head gasket so changed that someone told me coil pack so change that one too and spark plugs. Someone told me some immobilizer system fixed that too even change the coolant temperature sensor too. So don’t know what’s going on any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

What color was the smoke from the exhaust? Also, not always, but in most cases, a no-start condition is caused by either a fuel-related issue or an ignition issue.

I'm not sure what has been replaced, but I want you to try something for me. Since it won't start, see if it will if you use starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it's a fuel-related issue. If there is no change, then I need you to check for spark at the plugs.

Here is a link that explains how it is done:

If you have a live data scan tool, also confirm if there is an RPM signal when cranking the engine.

Let me know what you find.
