1991 Isuzu Truck starting

the truck wasn`t starting at all. replaced fuel pump--(mechanical)now it runs good . the trouble is, after it sets for a day or so, it takes a long time to start putting a lot of stress on starter and battery. If I start it the same day it starts right up.

Check if the choke plate is opening if not adjust the initial opening and also the fast idle cam adjustment
