1985 Isuzu Truck air pump makes alot of noise

The air pump on my pup makes alot of noise.I want to put an after market ac unit in my truck and used the air pump bracket for the ac compressor.I cant find an air pump anywhere,and I want to know what will happen if I just take the air pump off ?

I want to know what will happen if I just take the air pump off ? Nothing is gonna happen its job is to help oxidize the exhaust gases and you won't make it thru the smog test-don't throw it away
