2004 Isuzu Trooper stalling when depressing clutch

hi can anyone help i have a 2004 trooper 30 td 4cyl
short wheel base i was driveing home came to a junction and the engine stalled tryed to start it and nothing left it for 5 mins then tryed again got it started and it was running fine untill i pressed the clutch pedel down then it cuts out it will start up then press the clutch down and stall the check engine light comes on can any one help or advise many thanks
