I was recently driving when my Torque on Demand light started to flash. It drives just fine, but the light continues to flash CHECK below the picture of the TOD. Any ideas what would cause this?

Hi kkalmbac,

When such warning indicator light flashes it means it has detected something wrong with the system.

Guess work would be a waste of time and energy.

Get a scan done to find out what is possibly wrong.

I had the same problem on my 1999 Trooper. I had the Flashing Check light on the TOD panel AND the Check Engine light was on steady...Want to know what the fix was??? No $1000 speed sensor job...the wiring that runs along the drive shaft was corroded and exposed....I had some new wiring put in and TADA! no more flashing TOD check light and no Check Engine light!
