in the middle of driving my Trooper, the transmission disengages and the engine revs like it's in neutral. it was not and fluids were ok. will stay in gear if you keep the rpm below 1,000 and don't go over 5mph.
isuzu says that because i took title (orig owner) with our company and myself jointly, that a lower mileage and time qualification is in effect and it is not covered and they will not pay anything. regional reps have been fired because isuzu is not being sold in the usa, so have to deal with hq customer service. dealer says a new tranny is $4-5,000......HELP

Hi Bill,

Thank you for the donation.

Does the problem immediately upon driving or it takes a short driving time before it happens?

Have you checked or replaced the trans fluid filter?

Sometimes when the filter is clogged, fluid is not being drwn by the oil pump reaulting in pressure loss so the trans would not operate correctly.

Hi, it does sound like the transmission is bad. I have heard of Isuzu transmissions going out to soon. I sounds like you got one of them. Have you serviced it yet?
