Transmission problem
2001 Isuzu Trooper 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive 93000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
When the car is on D drive and runs @ 20 miles p.h above that the gear drops to Neutral. The car can onlly run on one gear. Can you advise what the remedy be?

To start need to be sure fluid level is good. Tah tprobably doesnt have adip stick. Need to get under it, witht he truck level, there is a drain adn fill plug in the pan on the trans, th efill plug is on pass side rear of the pan where it gets shallow, remove plug, fluid level is good when you pump a small amount of fluid up into this hole and it runs back out, with the engine running.If level is good, have the PCM scanned for transmission codes that may lead to a problem

Is the Check Trans light 1. Blinking 2. Staying on 3. Never comes on during initial ignition on 4. Comes on for 2 seconds and goes off after initial ignition On

Your answer does not give me what might be the cause for the gear to move to neautral when the speed passes 30mph. Please could you give us a solution? Thanks for your assistance.
