2000 Isuzu Trooper Axle Ratio

I never tow with this vehicle (not even hitch equipped), so could I drop my rear axle ratio from the stock 4.10 to say a 3.70 to improve my MPG? If so could you recommend a source for the gear?

Ok yes you can put in different ratio's no problem and then all you will need to do is find a shop you trust to do it check them out make sure they do rearends and are fimilier with them don't forget to get an install kit. As for a place to buy Tom's Differentials or Randy's Ring and Pinion's your choice. Tom's is all USA made unless no other is available.
