Where can I find a description of how to get to and repack the front wheel bearings on my 1989 Trooper? If you know, would you PLEASE email me at seaman@sistemaguanacaste.com

PS: I found a mechanic (here in Costa Rica) who replaced inner & out bearing (along with seal), packed the other side, and replaced break pads for $100---parts included. What threw me was that the spindle nut looks like a rotary phone dial and has locking screws that aren't visible unless you clean really well.

According to my service book. The front wheel bearings on 4WD models is not adjustable or serviceable. If excessive noise or play is produced by the wheel bearings, the assembly must be replaced.
Happy New Year :D
